Depending on how you use BigEvent, we may collect the following categories of personal data.
Contact and professional information

- telephone number, if voluntarily provided;

Event information
When an event is submitted, we may collect:
- the identity and contact details of the person submitting the event;
- information about the event organiser;
- event descriptions, dates and locations;
- speaker or participant information;
- photographs, logos and promotional materials;
- links to registration, ticketing or organiser websites.
Some of this information may be intended for publication on BigEvent.
Order and billing information
When a professional service is purchased, we may collect:
- the service ordered;
- order date and amount;
- billing information;
- invoice and payment status;
- communications relating to the order.
Payment card details are not intended to be stored directly by LINKUB. Where online payments are offered, they are processed by the payment service provider identified during checkout.
Communications
We may keep messages and information sent through:
- contact forms;
- email;
- customer-support exchanges;
- event submission or correction requests.
Technical and security information
Our hosting and security systems may process limited technical data, such as:
- IP address;
- request date and time;
- browser and device information;
- requested page;
- technical logs;

These records are used to operate, protect and troubleshoot the website.

We do not use personal data to make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects through fully automated processing.

Fields identified as mandatory must be completed so that we can process the relevant request or provide the requested service.
If mandatory information is not provided, we may be unable to:
- respond to a request;
- publish an event;
- create or process an order;
- issue a valid invoice;
- provide the purchased service.
Other information is optional.
05Event information made public
Information submitted for an event may be displayed publicly on BigEvent.
Before submitting personal information about another person, such as a speaker, representative or contact person, the organiser must ensure that it has a valid reason and any necessary permission to do so.
The organiser should avoid submitting private contact details that are not intended for public distribution.
06Who may receive the data
Personal data may be accessed by:
- authorised members of LINKUB;
- hosting, maintenance and security providers;
- payment and billing providers;
- professional advisers, accountants or legal advisers where necessary;
- public authorities where disclosure is legally required.
Each provider receives only the information reasonably necessary for its role.
LINKUB does not sell personal data.
07Hosting and service providers
BigEvent is hosted by Kinsta.
Technical data may be processed through Kinsta's infrastructure and its authorised subprocessors for hosting, security, content delivery, backup and maintenance purposes.
When additional providers are used for payments, transactional email, customer support or other functions, they may process limited personal data on LINKUB's behalf or as an independent data controller, depending on the service.
08International data transfers
Some technical providers or their subprocessors may be located outside the European Economic Area.
Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, LINKUB seeks to rely on a lawful transfer mechanism, such as:
- an adequacy decision adopted by the European Commission;
- the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses;
- another transfer mechanism recognised under applicable data-protection law.
09Data retention
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.
The main retention periods are:

| Data relating to a legal dispute | Until the dispute and relevant limitation periods have ended |
Data may be kept for a longer period where required by law, necessary to establish or defend legal claims, or needed to investigate suspected fraud or abuse.
10Audience measurement with Plausible
BigEvent uses Plausible Analytics to understand general website traffic and usage.
In its standard configuration, Plausible:
- does not place analytics cookies;
- does not use persistent identifiers;
- does not track visitors across different websites;
- does not create individual advertising profiles;
- provides aggregated website statistics.
LINKUB uses these statistics to understand which pages are visited, improve the website and identify general usage trends.
No advertising or cross-site tracking is currently performed through Plausible.
11Cookies and similar technologies
BigEvent does not currently use advertising cookies or analytics cookies through Plausible.
The website may still use strictly necessary technical storage or similar mechanisms required for:
- security;
- load balancing;
- session management;
- form operation;
- user preferences;
- fraud prevention;
- delivery of a service expressly requested by the user.
These mechanisms do not require consent when they are strictly necessary.
If BigEvent later introduces non-essential cookies or tracking technologies, this Privacy Policy will be updated and a consent mechanism will be implemented where required.
12Professional marketing communications
BigEvent may contact existing or prospective professional customers about services relevant to their professional activity where permitted by law.
Every marketing message will provide a simple way to object to further communications.
You may object at any time by:
- using the unsubscribe link included in the message, where available; or

13Your rights
Subject to the conditions and limitations provided by applicable law, you may have the right to:
- access your personal data;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete data;

- withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent;
- receive certain data in a portable format;
- provide instructions regarding the handling of your personal data after your death, where applicable under French law.
The withdrawal of consent does not affect processing carried out before the withdrawal.

No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Users should also take reasonable steps to protect their accounts, devices and communications.
17Third-party websites
BigEvent contains links to websites operated by event organisers and other third parties.
Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. LINKUB is not responsible for how those third parties collect or process personal data.
18Children
BigEvent's paid services are intended for professionals and are not directed at children.
LINKUB does not knowingly seek to collect personal data directly from children through its professional services.
19Changes to this Privacy Policy
LINKUB may update this Privacy Policy to reflect:
- changes to the website;
- new service providers or features;
- changes in data-processing activities;
- legal or regulatory developments.
